Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 7 April 2026

1. Who These Terms Apply To

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Bookstead. Bookstead is operated by Catalin Iftimie trading as Bookstead of 3 Chester Street, London, SW1X 7BB. By accessing or using Bookstead, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. The Bookstead Service

Bookstead is software designed for DJs and event professionals to manage enquiries, bookings, clients, contracts, timelines, music preferences, client portals, and related event operations workflows.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating and using a Bookstead account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity carried out through your account. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been used without authorisation.

4. Acceptable Use

You must not use Bookstead in a way that:

  • breaks any law or regulation;
  • infringes another person's rights;
  • attempts to gain unauthorised access to systems, data, or accounts;
  • interferes with the proper operation or security of the service;
  • uploads malicious code, harmful content, or unlawful material;
  • uses the service to store or distribute content you do not have the right to use.

5. Your Data and Content

You retain responsibility for the data you enter into Bookstead, including client data, booking details, notes, contracts, timelines, and music preferences. You confirm that you have the necessary rights and legal basis to upload and use that data in connection with the service.

You grant Bookstead the limited rights necessary to host, process, store, display, and transmit your data for the purpose of providing the service to you.

6. Client Portal and Shared Access

Bookstead may allow you to share access to parts of your booking information through client portal links or similar features. You are responsible for deciding when and with whom to share those links. You should treat those links as sensitive because they may allow access to booking-related information without a separate login.

7. Integrations

Bookstead may support third-party integrations, including Google Calendar. If you choose to connect an integration, you authorise Bookstead to use the permissions and data necessary to provide that integration. Third-party services remain subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Trials, Paid Plans, and Billing

Bookstead may offer a free trial and may introduce paid plans, subscriptions, or paid features. Where paid plans are offered, pricing, billing intervals, and any cancellation terms will be made clear at the point of purchase or upgrade.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, no promise is made in these Terms about refunds, credits, or billing reversals. Any paid features introduced later may be subject to additional commercial terms presented at that time.

9. Changes to the Service

Bookstead may update, improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service from time to time. We may also change or remove features where reasonably necessary for legal, technical, security, or product reasons.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Bookstead if you materially breach these Terms, if your use creates a security or legal risk, or if continued provision of the service is no longer reasonably possible.

You may stop using the service at any time. Where paid plans are introduced, cancellation rules may depend on the billing terms applicable to your subscription.

11. Intellectual Property

Bookstead and its content, software, branding, design, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Bookstead unless otherwise stated. These Terms do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to you. You may use the service only as permitted by these Terms.

12. Disclaimers

Bookstead is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. While we aim to provide a reliable service, we do not guarantee that Bookstead will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bookstead will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity, anticipated savings, or data, arising from or connected with your use of the service.

Where Bookstead is liable to you, that liability will be limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or if you have not paid anything, a reasonable nominal amount reflecting the free nature of the service at that time, subject always to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

14. Privacy

Your use of Bookstead is also governed by the Bookstead Privacy Policy, which explains how personal data is handled.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated date. Continued use of Bookstead after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms, except where consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in another part of the United Kingdom where you live.
